Sanford & Son was one of my favorite shows growing up. It starred legendary comedian and Detroit Red’s running buddy, Redd Foxx, as loveable junk man Fred Sanford who was trying to make it with his son Lamont. Foxx passed in the 90’s, but he would be having one of his iconic heart attacks, if he heard the news coming out of the senate this week.
Chase and Bank of America could re-start foreclosures in July 2021. Wells Fargo may delay foreclosures until 2022. About 2.1 million homeowners are still in forbearance plans that suspend their mortgage payments. Another 1.8 million families are 90 days delinquent on their mortgages as of this April.
Many families have recovered from the Covid-19 economic shock, but many have not. Like Fred, so many families are still struggling day to day, even though Biden extended the moratorium on Foreclosures until June 30th. If you are in forbearance or delinquent, don’t have a heart attack… reach out and get help now.
