When I began my year as President of HGAR, I introduced a platform called Tied to Success. The idea behind it was simple: none of us succeeds alone.

Through advocacy, we supported co-op transparency which eliminates secret co-op denials, without reason, in 60 days. We won legislative SEQRA reform.
We lobbied in Albany for a State Budget that passed with important housing measures. We helped pass The Fair and Transparent Real Estate Listing Act to give sellers clear warning about hiding their listings in “private” networks. We passed the Housing for the 21st Century Act into law, that makes it easier to build and create housing in America.
Every legislative victory, every educational program, every new relationship, helps us better serve buyers and sellers in our markets.
